Dermal filler is injected into the skin in small amounts using a very fine needle. The gel provides natural volume to smooth away the appearance of lines and wrinkles, enhance facial shape and create fullness in the lips or cheeks. Dermal fillers improve the elasticity and texture of skin, restoring and maintaining the skins hydro balance.
Depending on the area, treatment can take between 30-60 minutes. Generally, pain relief is not necessary when injecting into the skin to correct lines and wrinkles, but we prefer to apply a local anaesthetic cream to the area and all our dermal fillers contain Lidocaine Local anaesthetic for a more comfortable treatment experience.
The benefits can normally be seen instantly and can last for around 6-9 months. Duration depends on many factors, such as your skin type, condition, lifestyle and age. After the initial treatment, follow-up sessions are normally recommended around every 6 to 12 months depending on the individual and the treatment.
After treatment, some reactions might occur, these include; slight redness, swelling and bruising. The reactions are generally mild to moderate and usually disappear shortly after the treatment.
